Channel Pilot Solutions will become part of Bregal Unternehmerkapital's new e-commerce software group
Hamburg, November 13, 2023 – Funds advised by Bregal Unternehmerkapital (BU) are acquiring a majority stake in Hamburg-based Channel Pilot Solutions GmbH (Channel Pilot Solutions) – it will become part of the recently formed e-commerce software group within BU’s portfolio, complementing it with a leading tool for product data optimization and marketplace integrations.
Founded in 2012, Channel Pilot Solutions GmbH from Hamburg provides companies with a cloud platform through its tool Channel Pilot Pro, enabling them to optimize their product presence and availability on various online sales channels, as well as dynamically adjust prices.
Approximately 3,500 online shops from blue-chip customers in the DACH region, France, and Spain, including the majority of the top 25 e-commerce retailers in Germany, are utilizing the rapidly growing, cloud-based feed and channel management solution. The CP Suite enables optimal connection of large product assortments to hundreds of different sales channels (e.g., marketplaces, product search engines, social media, price comparison sites, affiliate platforms, etc.), continuous improvement of product data feeds, and ideal steering of performance strategies. With the investment from Bregal, the product portfolio is to be further expanded and the company is to be expanded into additional markets.
In early November 2023, BU laid the foundation for the new e-commerce software group with the majority acquisition of Billbee GmbH by funds advised by BU. With its SaaS channel management solution, Billbee focuses primarily on small and very small merchants and has been mainly active in the DACH region to date. Based on the two providers, Billbee and Channel Pilot Solutions, which are strongly positioned in their respective fields and customer groups, the new e-commerce software group is expected to grow with further members in the near future and unlock new, synergistic value creation potential regarding go-to-market.
